John and Mary (Winstead) Morrow, both natives of Person County, N. C.,and of Irish and English descent respectively. John Morrow was married inhis native State, where in early life be learned the hatter's trade,which he followed in connection with farming for many years. In 1840 hecame with his family to what is now Webster County, Ky., where he boughta farm and remained some fifteen years. He then removed to Union County,Ky., where he remained about three years.
